By now, you all may have heard that Mr. Trump has signed an executive order suspending all government grant programs for 90 days, pending a review to ensure they align with his administration’s agenda. This order is effective today at 5:00 PM.
I want to assure you that this will not affect our operations here at Careteam Plus at this time. We have successfully managed operations during extended periods while awaiting reimbursement for grant funding from the Department of Health.
Additionally, the Board and Administration have worked diligently to build and maintain strong financial reserves and strong financial stability. We do not operate on a month-to-month basis. We are well positioned to weather this storm and, I remain confident in our ability to continue serving our community without disruption.
Right now, our grants, including private foundation grants, make up about 25% of our total budget, and overall, I am not overly concerned that this situation will lead to a permanent loss of funding.
I want to emphasize that Careteam Plus remains well-positioned to navigate this challenge, just as we always have. As the situation develops, we are committed to sharing accurate updates with our community. Rest assured, the well-being of our patients and the dedication of our staff remain our top priorities.
