Careteam Plus Family Health Receives Federally Qualified Health Center Look A Like Designation

Conway, SC – Effective June 1, 2018, Careteam+ Family Health and Specialty Care is officially designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Look A Like (LAL) by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

The FQHC LAL designation confirms that Careteam+ Family Health and Specialty Care meets the competitive requirements of the federal HRSA Health Center Program. Providing primary care in underserved areas, these centers utilize a sliding fee scale, have an ongoing quality assurance program and a governing board of directors that includes patients. While not receiving Health Center Program funding, LALs are eligible for enhanced Medicare and Medicaid payments along with other benefits.
