A graduate of Achille Mario Dogliotti College of Medicine, University of Liberia in West Africa, Dr. Cooper-Merchant completed both her internship and her residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital in Center, New York.
She is a member of the American Board of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and serves on the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. Dr. Cooper-Merchant holds a certificate in Global Mental Health: Trauma and Recovery from Harvard Medical School.
She is licensed in South Carolina, New York, Indiana, Minnesota and the Republic of Liberia.
