Heather Harden, ACNP, FNP-BC
Heather Harden is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Acute and Family Care. She pursued her passion for nursing at Mississippi College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2004. Heather worked for several years as a trauma intensive care nurse and then went into cardiovascular research. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Alabama with a subspecialty in Acute Care in 2012 and Family Care in 2013. Heather is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and licensed in South Carolina. She has worked primarily in family medicine and has over a decade of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
Heather is an active volunteer and advocate for the Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) Alliance. She has a personal connection with TSC Alliance due to her daughter being diagnosed with the genetic disease when she was only 10 months old. She has been a member and community chair since 2016. In 2021, Heather was nominated by the TSC Alliance as a Consumer Reviewer for the Department of Defense Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Research Program (TSCRP). She has partaken in peer review panels for 2 years in hopes of helping others navigate the TSC diagnosis, treatment, and disease research.
Heather Harden is originally from Mississippi, but currently resides in Murrells Inlet, SC. When she is not working or advocating for TSC, she enjoys spending time with her three children. She can often be found attending their activities, cooking, or traveling to make memories with her loved ones.
