This month, we’re talking about Macronutrients and what they are. We’re also covering Carbohydrates, Proteins, Dats, and Micronutrients. For Carbohydrates, we’ll cover whether they are complex (healthy) versus simple carbohydrates, what carbohydrates do in the body, whether all carbohydrates are unhealthy, budget-friendly healthy carbohydrate sources, and guidance on which carbohydrates to eat and which to limit. For Proteins, we are addressing good food sources of protein, how much protein to eat daily, what protein does in the body, and budget-friendly protein options. For Fats, we are discussing whether all fats are unhealthy, the purpose fat serves in the body, how much fat to eat daily, healthy fat sources to focus on, and budget-friendly healthy fats. For Micronutrients, we are explaining why they are needed, what they do in the body, tasty food sources of micronutrients, and easy ways to include more micronutrients in the daily diet.
