Melody O’Neal
Melody O’Neal, a proud native of Sumter, South Carolina, is a leader with a passion for community service and the hospitality industry. As a 2023 graduate of Class VI of the Waccamaw American Leadership Forum (WALF), Melody now serves as the Board Chair of WALF, where she works to bring together leaders in the Waccamaw region. Melody owes her passion for helping others to her parents Carl and Linda O’Neal.
In addition to her role with WALF, Melody is an active board member of the Horry County United Way, an organization making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need. She also currently serves on the grants and scholarships committee of the Waccamaw Community Foundation, another organization committed to helping families in our area. Her commitment to serving her community extends nationally, as she also serves as a board member of the National American Leadership Forum (ALF), contributing her expertise and insights to shape impactful leadership initiatives on a broader scale.
Professionally, Melody has dedicated over two decades to the vacation rental industry. Melody has grown from the many changes she has faced in the vacation rental market.
Beyond her professional and philanthropic endeavors, Melody finds solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly spending time with her family, reading and enjoying time on the beach.
