Sloppy Joes
By Chef Karla
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon Olive oil
1 each Onion, yellow, diced
1 each Bell pepper, diced
3 each Garlic, minced
1 pound  Ground beef, 90/10
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Ground black pepper
½ cup Ketchup
¼ cup BBQ sauce
1 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 ½ teaspoons Red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon Yellow mustard
½ cup Water
For serving
4  eaach Hamburger buns of choice
2 (4) ounces Pepper jack cheese (about ½-1 cup)
Method:
- In a large skillet, add olive oil and place over medium heat. Add in the garlic, onion, and bell pepper; sauté for 5 minutes or until onion is translucent. Remove garlic, onion, and pepper mixture to a separate bowl.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Break up the meat and cook until no longer pink, 5 to 7 minutes.
- Once beef is cooked, add the onion and bell pepper mixture back in. Then add in ketchup, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, mustard, and water.
- Stir well to combine and bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cook for 10 minutes longer until sauce thickens. If sauce looks too thick, add a tablespoon of water.
- Transfer meat onto hamburger buns and top with cheese. Enjoy!
